Santa Maria della Salute – Cupola – A2 Print

Something you have surely noticed from Bacino di San Marco or you have seen appear at the end of a Grand Canal boat tour is the massive dome of Santa Maria della Salute.

The baroque church was designed by Baldassarre Longhena and was built as a vow from Venetians after a plague at the beginning of the 15th century.

The large dome is portrayed with a fine-line drawing, floating on a pink background, as the color of the sky during a beautiful Venetian sunset.
