San Marco bell tower, El parón de casa (The Landlord) for Venetians, is one of the city’s most important landmarks and one of the tallest bell towers in Italy.
The structure we now see is a reconstruction, inaugurated in 1912 after the pre-existing campanile collapsed on July 14 1902.
